Felton Music Hall
Felton Music Hall, located in the heart of the Santa Cruz mountains in Felton, CA, offers a unique live music experience. Originally founded in 1995 as Don Quixote's, the venue has evolved over time, gaining a loyal fan base and a reputation for its warm, rustic atmosphere. In 2019, Thomas Cussins and a team of music industry veterans took ownership, aiming to create a space that felt like the "living room of the San Lorenzo Valley". The venue's setting near the redwoods and Henry Cowell State Park adds to its allure, with the natural beauty of the area enhancing the experience for both audiences and performers.
Felton Music Hall is known for its excellent acoustics, with the old wood of the building contributing to the sound quality. The venue has undergone significant upgrades, including an improved sound system, and hosts a diverse range of artists and genres, from punk to Americana to reggae and indie rock. The hall has a history of hosting both local talent and well-known acts, with artists like Matisyahu and Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters having performed there. The venue also offers a membership program with benefits such as show tickets and discounts on food and merchandise, which has helped sustain it through challenging times.
