White Oak Music Hall (Upstairs)
The White Oak Music Hall (WOMH) is a multi-venue live music complex located just north of downtown Houston, Texas. It spans over five acres and consists of three stages: the Upstairs, the Downstairs, and the Lawn. The Upstairs is the smaller venue, capable of supporting acts of up to 200+ attendees.
The idea for the venue was conceived nearly a decade before its opening in 2016. The venue was designed to be a place where Houstonians could create lasting musical memories. It hosts over 400 live music events per year, featuring a diverse array of musical acts and genres, including rock, country, hip-hop, R&B, and more.
The Upstairs at WOMH has a rich history of performances. Some of the artists and bands that have performed there include The Hails, Shop 29, RoZY, The Kiddos, Telebastards, Khamari, Brainiac, Mipso, Trousdale, Helado Negro, Miles Miller, Midnight Beverage, LitFrank + Ernie Wayne, and many more. The venue has also hosted breakthrough performances and concerts from artists like Alt-J, Tricky, Cannibal Corpse, Mayhem, Kurt Vile, Jeremy Zucker, The Aces, Laufey, Slowdive, Bon Iver, Hippo Campus, and Wallows.
The venue is also ADA-compliant, with each of the three venues, as well as their backstage areas, being disabled accessible and equipped with ramps, elevators, grab bars, and paved pathways. It is a cashless venue, so attendees are advised to bring a debit or credit card.
